Tottenham 2027/28 third kit leak reveals black design and possible badge change

New details have emerged about Tottenham Hotspur’s 2027/28 third kit, with Nike reportedly considering a change to the club’s traditional badge. The latest leak also suggests Spurs will return to a black-and-white design.

Spurs Web reported on 22 October that Tottenham’s away shirt for the 2027/28 campaign is expected to be predominantly pink, a first for the club’s outfield players.

While Spurs goalkeepers have previously worn pink, including Antonin Kinsky this season, the colour has never featured as the main design of an outfield kit. Attention has now turned to the third strip, with another set of details emerging.

Tottenham 2027/28 third kit set to feature black and white design

According to Footy Headlines, Nike are planning a predominantly black third shirt for Tottenham in the 2027/28 season. The design is expected to feature white detailing on the collar, sleeve cuffs and logos.

The report claims there are currently no plans for a third colour to be included in the design. That would leave Spurs with a relatively simple black-and-white strip, although the final appearance of the shirt has yet to be revealed.

Black is certainly not a new colour for Tottenham’s kits. The club wore a predominantly black away shirt during the 2025/26 season, and Nike now look set to revisit that colour scheme two years later.

Nike considering vintage Tottenham badge for third kit

One of the more interesting details concerns the Tottenham crest, which could look different from the badge currently used on the club’s shirts.

Footy Headlines claim Nike are seriously considering a vintage shield design featuring the cockerel inside it. This would replace the standalone cockerel crest normally seen on Tottenham kits, although a final decision has not been confirmed.

It would give the third shirt a different look while bringing back an element of the club’s badge history. However, supporters will have to wait to find out whether Nike go ahead with the proposed change.

There have already been several reports about Nike’s plans for Tottenham’s 2027/28 kits, with some of the earlier information differing from the latest leaks.

Back in August, Spurs Web reported that Tottenham’s away shirt could be predominantly black, with Platinum Violet and Jersey Gold detailing. That report also suggested the return of the traditional interlocking THFC monogram.

However, the more recent information about a pink away kit suggests the black design could instead be used for the third strip. The latest report also points towards a shield crest rather than the THFC monogram previously mentioned.

Meanwhile, another leak in September suggested light blue could return for the 2027/28 campaign. It was unclear at the time whether that colour would feature on the away or third kit.

Footy Headlines expect Tottenham’s 2027/28 third kit to be released in August or September 2027. For now, neither the final design nor the proposed badge change has been officially confirmed by the club or Nike.
