Leeds United were able to call upon Nico Elvedi against Bournemouth after he recovered from illness, albeit he could not help register another clean sheet.
The 2-0 defeat has thrown up questions about the efficiency and lethality of those operating in the final third, though, amid a lack of creativity. Anton Stach’s ongoing foot issue certainly did not help matters.
While not in the best of form, he has had to start on the bench for the past two games. And when he came on, he was unable to make a telling difference in either fixture.
But the problems go deeper than one man alone - yet Daniel Farke was not helped by a late injury drop-out on the eve of the clash with Bournemouth.

Okafor pulled up with an adductor complaint in Friday’s final training session ahead of the trip to Bournemouth. He had suffered from the same type of issue ahead of the visit to Sunderland but had managed to make the squad and come off the bench.
Leeds will monitor the severity of his latest adductor issue over the coming days. Daniel Farke admitted Okafor would have started on Saturday but for his injury.
It is hardly the first adductor injury the attacker has suffered since arriving at Leeds. Amid the team’s current lack of creativity, United will hope his setback is nothing major.
Possible return date: November 7 vs Tottenham

The defender has partly rejoined team training following his long-term hamstring injury which is a positive boost for Leeds. Rodon has not played since pulling up with his issue in the second game of the season.
He was initially given an eight to 10 week timeline, which would have put his return in mid-November. Farke believes he is on the path towards being ready enough for action again before long.
Whether that comes in time for Saturday is doubtful and even if he does, he will almost certainly not start the match. Though if it was up to Rodon, by all accounts, he would already be back playing by now amid his eagerness to get back to action.

Mateo Joseph is currently undergoing rehabilitation on his knee
Mateo Joseph is still working his way back from his anterior cruciate ligament damage, with it now six months since he suffered the setback while on loan at Mallorca last season. He has been posting pictures of him in the gym in Leeds gear, progressing in his rehabilitation.
Though he is included on the club’s Premier League squad list, he is not considered part of Farke’s plans after his transfer request and no-show for pre-season training last year. He is not expected back to fitness until after the new year.
