Hubert Velud has named a 24-player Comoros squad for the two Africa Cup of Nations 2027 qualifying matches against the Republic of the Congo, with five players returning to the Cœlacanthes set-up.
Faiz Selemani, Said Bakari, Ismael Boura, Rafiki Said and Anfane Said Djambae are all back in the squad for the third and fourth rounds of qualifying.
Selemani was left out of the September selection as Velud opted to give greater opportunities to a new generation of players. Boura and Rafiki Said missed the previous camp because of injuries.
Their inclusion gives Velud additional options in both attack and defence as Comoros look to collect points against the Diables rouges and remain in contention for qualification.
Comoros will host the first match at the stade de Malouzini on Friday 13 November. The return fixture will take place in Brazzaville on Tuesday 17 November at the stade Alphonse-Massamba-Debat.
Velud’s 24-man squad is:
Yannick Pandor, Adel Anzimati, Naime Said Mchindra, Ali Mohamed Abdallah, Said Bakari, Yakine Said M’Madi, Kenan Toibibou, Warmed Omari, Yannis Kari, Akim Abdallah, Ismael Boura, Iyad Mohamed, Yacine Bourhane, Zaydou Youssouf, Ben-Chayeel Hamada, Rayan Lutin, Idris Mohamed, Housseine Zakouani, Aymeric Ahmed, Aboubacar Ali Abdallah, Anfane Said Djambae, Faiz Selemani, Rafiki Said and Zaid Amir.
