Gill Clark Gill Clark is the site manager of Barca Blaugranes and joined in 2017. She has worked in sports media as a writer and editor for the best part of two decades and has been in love with the beautiful game for as long as she can remember.

Barcelona suffered their first defeat of the season in midweek against PSG and must now dust themselves off and attempt to bounce back in their next game on Sunday against Real Madrid.

It’s a huge game for Hansi Flick and his side, with the champions knowing victory will move them nine points clear of their bitter rivals.

Flick made it clear that his decision to leave Rodri on the bench against PSG was in part due to El Clasico, and the World Cup winner is expected to return to the starting XI on Sunday at Camp Nou.

Rodri’s unlikely to be the only change for the match, particularly as the Barcelona boss, and Anthony Gordon, both spoke about how the tired were and how they lacked freshness against PSG.

Flick will also need to find a replacement for Dani Olmo after the Spain star has been ruled out through injury joining Eric Garcia on the sidelines. Jules Kounde is also a major doubt for the match due to an ankle problem.

Elsewhere, Frenkie de Jong is fit again after injury and pushing for his first start of the season, while Gavi is another player eager for minutes along with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Alejandro Balde, Karim Adeyemi and Hamza Abdelkarim.

So today’s Barca Blaugranes Question of the Day is:

What changes would you like to see Hansi Flick make at Barcelona for El Clasico?
