The Kenya Lionesses squad for the upcoming 2026 Africa Women’s 7s and HSBC SVNS 3 Qualifiers has been named.

Co-captains Sheila Chajira and Stella Wafula continue to lead the group, bringing essential experience and grit to the squad.

The technical bench, headed by Simon Odongo alongside assistant Geoffrey Ominde and team manager Camilyne Oyuayo, has retained the majority of its experienced core, including prolific players like Janet Okello, Faith Livoi, Freshia Oduor, Sinaida Mokaya, Judith Auma, Marvel Oswago Yvette Okech and Moreen Muritu.

Nelly Chikombe makes her entry into the continental squad, while Charity Nillah drops out from the 12-woman setup that featured in the Safari 7s.

Furthermore, after testing two debutants during the Safari 7s, the coaching staff has selected Catherine Elizabeth for the Africa Women’s 7s stage while leaving out Tracy Montex.

With the tournament taking place on home soil at the RFUEA Grounds on November 7th and 8th, 2026, the Lionesses enter the championship with a refined unit designed.

The team aims to leverage home-ground advantage to secure top placement in the HSBC SVNS 3 Qualifiers and reassert its dominance on the continental stage
