Chelsea Football Club and the Chelsea Foundation have officially joined forces for a third consecutive year to launch their major festive campaign, ‘That’s Proper Chels’, aimed at supporting individuals experiencing loneliness and social isolation across London and surrounding communities.
Inspired by classic Christmas shopping channels, the new initiative brings together players, staff, and supporters to celebrate club traditions while generating vital financial and community assistance for vulnerable local residents.
Underpinning the heart of the campaign is a firm commitment to translating football passion into tangible social impact.
A dedicated percentage of all sales from Chelsea’s official festive product range sold online and at the Stamford Bridge Megastore will be directly donated to the Chelsea Foundation and its key charitable partners.
These funds will directly support grassroots programs designed to reduce isolation, foster social connections, and offer lifeline services to those in need.
Since launching their first dedicated festive social drive in 2024, Chelsea FC and the Chelsea Foundation have directed more than £280,000 in grant funding toward organizations tackling homelessness and loneliness throughout south-west London and Surrey.
Alongside monetary contributions, the Blues family has demonstrated immense community solidarity, with supporters donating thousands of physical gifts during matchdays to ensure isolated individuals receive care during the holiday period.
The initiative comes at a crucial time as societal connectivity shifts increasingly online, leaving many older adults and vulnerable community members feeling disconnected from their surroundings.
By opening the doors of Stamford Bridge, hosting community lunches, and funding local befriending initiatives, the club continues to leverage the unique, unifying power of football to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels a true sense of belonging.
As the festive season approaches, Chelsea FC and the Chelsea Foundation are encouraging the wider fanbase to participate through product purchases, matchday gift drives, and local volunteering efforts.
By rallying the global Blues family around a shared humanitarian objective, the club reinforces that Stamford Bridge remains a beacon of support, connection, and community strength far beyond the ninety minutes on the pitch.
