Kenya Police FC moved into fourth place in the 2026/27 FKF Premier League standings after beating Shabana FC 1-0 at Afraha Stadium on Monday.
Brian Chonjo Otieno scored the only goal of the match in the 13th minute, taking Police to eight points from five matches and improving their position in a closely contested section of the table.
The Law Enforcers now sit two points behind third-placed AFC Leopards, who have nine points, and two points ahead of sixth-placed Murang'a Seal, who have seven.
They are level on points with 3K FC, but Police occupy fourth place with a goal difference of plus one compared with 3K's minus one.
At the top of the standings, Gor Mahia lead the competition with 12 points from five matches. KCB are second on 10 points, while AFC Leopards complete the top three.
Kenya Police's latest result also extends their winning run to two matches following their midweek 1-0 victory over Ulinzi Stars.
Their improvement comes after a difficult start to the campaign, when they were searching for their first league win.
The victory over Shabana was secured despite the visitors controlling 67 per cent of possession. Police were more productive in front of goal, registering seven shots on target from 15 attempts.
Shabana, meanwhile, remain 10th with six points.
Their position reflects the tight competition in the middle of the table, where five teams have accumulated six points.
Mara Sugar, Mathare United and Ulinzi Stars are among the sides still seeking greater consistency, while several clubs have played fewer than five matches.
With the campaign still in its early stages, Police will need to maintain their recent momentum if they are to challenge the teams above them.
