Nairobi United have secured a major financial boost after signing a lucrative Sh380 million sponsorship agreement with international betting firm SportyBet, strengthening the club's ambitions of winning domestic titles and returning to continental football.

The three-year partnership was officially unveiled in Nairobi on Friday, November 6, with SportyBet becoming the FKF Premier League outfit's official shirt sponsor.

The deal is expected to provide the club with additional financial resources to support its operations, improve competitiveness and strengthen its squad as it seeks to establish itself among Kenya's leading football teams.

Speaking during the unveiling, Nairobi United Chief Executive Officer Nelson Odaya highlighted the club's ambition of qualifying for the CAF Champions League, noting that competing at the highest continental level remained one of their key objectives.

The club enjoyed an impressive 2025 season, winning the FKF Cup after overcoming Gor Mahia in the final. They subsequently represented Kenya in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup, reaching the group stage of the competition.

SportyBet Kenya Country Manager Dianne Maina said the company was proud to partner with a club that had demonstrated its ability to compete for major honours.

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, who serves as the club's patron, attended the ceremony alongside Football Kenya Federation Deputy President McDonald Mariga.

Sakaja challenged the players and technical bench to target the FKF Premier League title, insisting that winning the championship should be the next major milestone for the club, which was established in 2018.

The sponsorship comes at a challenging moment for Nairobi United, who are still searching for their first league victory after five matches in the 2026/27 season.

They face a tough test on Sunday when they travel to Wang'uru Stadium in Kirinyaga to take on defending champions Gor Mahia.
