The Premier League title race tightened on Saturday, October 24, after Arsenal defeated Everton 2-0 while Manchester City suffered their first league defeat of the season against Aston Villa.

Arsenal also reached 21 points after beating Everton at the Emirates Stadium. Ezri Konsa opened the scoring before Gabriel Magalhães secured the victory, leaving the Gunners level with City on points as the title battle intensifies.

Brighton sit third with 16 points and have a chance to reduce the gap when they face Liverpool on Sunday. Chelsea remain fourth with 13 points despite losing 2-0 to Tottenham in the London derby. Liverpool are fifth with 12 points ahead of their match against Brighton.

Aston Villa climbed to sixth with 11 points following their victory over City. Brentford, Leeds United, Everton and Ipswich Town have 10 points each, while Hull City and Tottenham have nine points apiece. Tottenham moved to 12th after their win at Stamford Bridge.
