Harry Kane has committed his future to Bayern Munich after agreeing to a new contract that will keep him at the Bundesliga club until the summer of 2029.
The England captain, who joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, has been rewarded with an extended deal following an outstanding spell in Germany.
Kane has established himself as one of Bayern’s most prolific forwards, scoring 156 goals in 161 appearances for the club.
“I feel right at home at FC Bayern,” Kane told the club’s official website.
“I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich. We have a fantastic team and, in Vincent Kompany, a fantastic manager. It makes me very proud to be part of this club.
“My whole family is very happy here. I was keen to stay. I’m now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club.”
The 33-year-old’s decision to remain in Munich comes after a remarkable period in which he has added major individual and team honours to his collection.
Kane scored 73 goals for club and country last season, including six for England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. That form helped him become the first Englishman in 25 years to win the men’s Ballon d’Or.
His Bayern trophy haul includes two Bundesliga titles, with the first arriving in 2025 and representing the first major team honour of his senior career. He has also won the German Cup and German Super Cup.
The striker has been equally dominant in front of goal, claiming the European Golden Shoe twice in the past three seasons and finishing as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer in each of his three campaigns with Bayern.
Kane’s influence has also extended to the international stage. He captained England to the Euro 2024 final and helped the Three Lions achieve their best World Cup finish since 1966 earlier this year.
He recently moved level with Peter Shilton on 125 England appearances and will have the opportunity to become the country’s most-capped men’s player during the forthcoming Nations League fixtures.
Kane’s new agreement ensures Bayern will retain one of the most productive strikers in European football for at least another two-and-a-half years.
With the forward continuing to score at an exceptional rate and already having established himself as a key figure in Bayern’s attack, the club will be hoping his next chapter in Munich brings further domestic and European success.
