Round five of the 2026/27 SportPesa League wraps up on Monday, November 2, with four thrilling encounters scheduled across different venues in the country.

The fixtures kicked off on Sunday with five exciting matches, in which table leaders Gor Mahia suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 2-1 at home to KCB.

Meanwhile, their arch-rivals AFC Leopards returned to winning ways after a couple of draws, collecting maximum points with a convincing 2-0 victory over Kakamega Homeboyz.

Mombasa United’s struggles in the top flight continued to deepen following a 2-0 defeat to Migori Youth, while Nairobi United fought back to secure a 1-1 draw against Bandari FC. Murang’a SEAL, meanwhile, settled for a goalless stalemate with APS Bomet.

With the league gathering momentum and teams seeking to establish their footing in the new season, Monday’s headline fixture will see Shabana FC host Kenya Police FC at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru, with kick-off scheduled for 4:15pm.

Although Shabana remain unbeaten this season, they will be eager to claim their second victory after opening their campaign with a 1-0 win over Posta Rangers.

Since then, the Glamour Boys have drawn their next three matches, being held to goalless stalemates by Nairobi United and AFC Leopards.

In their most recent outing last week, Shabana were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Migori Youth, who fought back to snatch a point.

In addition, Ahmed Fathi’s charges will be targeting nothing short of their first home victory while seeking to preserve their unbeaten run. The Egyptian tactician has already promised a strong performance.

“I want to assure our supporters that we shall give 100 per cent during the game against Police. We want maximum points to make our fans proud. We have been working on the mistakes we made during the midweek game against Migori Youth. The beginning of the season is always tough, but we are working to improve,” Fathi said ahead of the clash.

The visitors, meanwhile, arrive in high spirits after clinching their first win of the season last week with a 1-0 triumph over Ulinzi Stars, handing new coach Raphael Pilato a winning start to his tenure.

Pilato was appointed to take over from Nicholas Muyoti, with Anthony Akhulia serving as his assistant.

The Frenchman will now be looking to build on that promising start as the Law Enforcers pursue their second victory of the campaign.

Last season, Shabana won one leg of the fixture, while the other ended in a share of the spoils.

In other matches, Posta Rangers will be looking to sustain their recent resurgence when they host 3K FC at Police Sacco Stadium from 2pm.

3K FC, on the other hand, will be desperate to bounce back after suffering a bruising 3-0 defeat to APS Bomet in their previous outing.

Tusker FC will also be aiming to return to winning ways when they entertain Mara Sugar at SportPesa Arena from 3pm, while Ulinzi Stars take on Mathare United at Vapor Grounds from 1pm.
