Paris Saint-Germain and Paris FC delivered clinical results on Saturday to tighten their grip at the summit of Ligue 1, while Toulouse kicked off Matchday 10 with a statement win the night before.

The latest Ligue 1 results from the weekend’s early fixtures underscored the growing competitiveness at the top and the pressure mounting on teams near the bottom.

At the Parc des Princes, PSG ground out a 1-0 victory over Troyes. Ukrainian defender Illia Zabarnyi rose highest to head home a Senny Mayulu delivery in the 39th minute, securing the three points and extending the champions’ winning run to 11 matches across all competitions.

Luis Enrique’s side controlled possession heavily—around 73%—and created the clearer chances, yet Troyes goalkeeper Hillel Konaté produced a series of important saves to keep the scoreline tight.

A late Troyes effort was ruled out for offside, allowing PSG to close out a hard-fought win that took them to 23 points from 10 games and three clear of their city rivals.

Earlier in the day, Paris FC produced the more eye-catching result of the afternoon. Liam Rosenior’s side traveled to Auxerre and left with a 0-1 win thanks to a 63rd-minute goal from Lassine Sinayoko against his former club.

Pablo Pagis created the opening with clever work in the box before Sinayoko applied a deft finish for his ninth league goal of the season, cementing his place as Ligue 1’s top scorer.

Auxerre had a goal disallowed by VAR in the first half and pushed hard after the break, but Kevin Trapp stood firm. The victory lifted Paris FC to 20 points from 10 matches and second place, keeping them firmly in the title conversation.

Friday night’s opener belonged to Toulouse. The hosts beat Strasbourg 3-1 at the Stadium de Toulouse with goals from Santiago Hidalgo just before half-time, Mark McKenzie early in the second period, and Thomas Jørgensen later on.

Giovanni Reyna pulled one back for the visitors, but Toulouse’s set-piece threat and clinical finishing proved decisive. The result moved the hosts onto 13 points and left Strasbourg further adrift in the lower half.

These Ligue 1 results paint a clear picture heading into Sunday’s remaining fixtures. PSG remain the team to beat, even while rotating and missing several key names through injury and rest.

Paris FC’s consistency continues to surprise, with Sinayoko’s form giving them a genuine cutting edge. Meanwhile, teams such as Troyes and Auxerre find themselves looking over their shoulders as the relegation scrap intensifies.

Sunday’s slate includes several intriguing ties: Rennes host Lille, Brest welcome Lyon, Lens face Marseille in the late kick-off, and Monaco travel to Le Mans. Those results will reshape the mid-table and European places once more.

For now, the early Matchday 10 action has reinforced the narrative that the 2026-27 Ligue 1 season features two Parisian clubs setting the pace, with plenty of drama still to unfold before the international break.
