Celtic welcome Dundee United to Parkhead tonight knowing a win will keep them at least four points clear at the top of the Premiership, whatever happens at Tynecastle.
Sunday’s comeback at Easter Road, settled by Camilo Durán’s strike just before half-time, got Martin O’Neill’s side back on track after another European defeat. United arrive in good form, though, and with a recent record against Celtic that should keep the home side honest.
Here is everything you need to know ahead of kick-off.
Celtic host Dundee United at Celtic Park tonight, Wednesday 28 October, with kick-off at 7.45pm.
It is the 11th round of Premiership fixtures, with all 12 clubs in action tonight.
The game is not on television in the UK or Ireland. Sky Sports passed on it, but supporters can still watch live through Celtic Player’s new Match Pass.
Non-subscribers can buy a pass for £12.99, while existing UK and Ireland Celtic Player subscribers get it for £9.99. The club says eligible subscribers will be emailed details of how to claim the discount.
You will need a Celtic FC Digital account to buy one, which is the same login used for tickets, the Celtic Store and the club app. Overseas Celtic Player subscribers already have the match included.
Highlights are due on Sportscene on BBC One Scotland at 10.40pm, according to the Scotsman. Supporters can keep up with every upcoming broadcast through CeltsAreHere’s Celtic TV guide.
Celtic are top with 27 points from 10 games, four clear of Rangers. Their only league defeat this season came at home to Rangers in September, and they have won all three league games since.
Rangers are at Tynecastle tonight, with an 8pm kick-off. A Celtic win and a Rangers slip would open up a gap of six or seven points before the weekend.
There is a point to prove at Parkhead too. Celtic have lost two of their last three home games, against Rangers and Celta Vigo, either side of the 7-1 win over Hearts.
Alistair Johnston is the big absentee. The right-back lasted 21 minutes off the bench at Easter Road before pulling up with another hamstring problem, and O’Neill said on Tuesday he could not see him back before the international break.
Colby Donovan, who signed a new contract until 2031 on Monday, is the obvious replacement.
Hyun-jun Yang is still out with a hamstring injury, while Joël van den Berg has only just had his first training session with Celtic and is some way off match fitness.
Auston Trusty has been absent following a family bereavement. In goal, Sam Johnstone has started the last two games.
United are without Mehdi Merghem, Will Ferry and Emmanuel Agyei, who are all out with knee injuries, according to the Scotsman.
