A really well-worked set-piece from Chelsea.

Lucy Bronze sends a wonderfully cushioned header across the goal, takes Courtney Brosnan out of the game and Sandy Baltimore, who isn't the biggest player on the pitch, finds the space to head home.

With all the talent and experience they've got in their team, it was only a matter of time before they scored.

Manchester City manager Andree Jeglertz speaking to Sky Sports before their game against West Ham:

"West Ham is coming from an extraordinary game against Liverpool. We face a good team with good confidence. They're going to challenge us today."

On whether his side need to outscore Chelsea, with whom City are tied on points at the top of the table:

"No. I just want to win the game. If we score a lot of goals, I'll be happy. The league is so tight, I can't see the goal difference is going to be the difference to make us win the league. Today is about getting the points."

On City captain Alex Greenwood, who is not in today's matchday squad:

"She picked up a small injury the other day, we're still assessing. Unfortunately she's not available."

Manchester City manager Andree Jeglertz makes two changes to the side that claimed a 2-1 win away at London City Lionesses last weekend.

Club captain Alex Greenwood is not in the squad, and hands the armband to Kerstin Casparij who replaces her in the backline, while Grace Clinton makes way for Mary Fowler.

Former West Ham defender Risa Shimiu is in the City squad for the first time, having picked up an ACL injury before she could make her debut after signing in 2024.

Man City XI: Yamashita; Wamser, Knaak, Rose, Casparij; Hasegawa, Blindkilde Brown; Hemp, Fujino, Fowler; Shaw.

Subs: Cumings, Shimizu, Clinton, Wienroither, Coffey, Lohmann, Beney, Prior, Davies.

West Ham manager Rita Guarino makes no changes to the team that beat Liverpool 4-1 at home last weekend.

West Ham XI: Picaud-Inconnu; Belloumou, Cascarino, Codina, Riesen; Zelem, Siren; Asseyi, Wandeler, Piubel; Gago.

Subs: Endo, Kumagai, Nystrom, Tennebo, Salmon, Wareing, Morgan, Walsh, Peacock.
