Steve McNamara has left the door open for more signings at Hull FC as he continues to make preparations for the 2027 Super League season.

The head coach is coming to the end of his first week in charge of the Black and Whites, with the former Warrington Wolves assistant getting the club's pre-season campaign underway at the start of the week.

He's made nine signings already, with Jordan Swann, Bailey Hodgson and Connor Barley reporting for duty this week.

Daly Cherry-Evans, Joshua Coric, Isaac Liu, Alrix Da Costa, Max Wood and Junior Pauga will arrive in the coming weeks, too, as McNamara's squad takes shape.

However, the club are still understood to be active in the recruitment market and Josh Kerr has been strongly linked with a move to the Black and Whites, with the prop potentially set to become the club's latest signing.

McNamara kept his cards close to his chest when asked by Hull Live about recruitment, but he did admit that further recruitment was a possibility in the coming weeks.

"There's potential for change," the new Hull boss said in his first interview in his new role with the press. "There's potential for continual movement and change. Will that happen or not? I'm not sure. But it's not out of the realms that it could happen."

Any incomings may well depend on outgoings it seems, particularly given the club currently exceed the allowed quota for overseas players. They currently have 11 on their books, and the signing of Kerr, if completed, would make that 12, two over the limit of 10.

Departures are expected then, with Aidan Sezer and James Bell known to be attracting interest from other clubs, while Sam Lisone is still suspended at present, pending the findings of a club investigation.

Asked about Sezer's situation, McNamara said: "It's out there in terms of what potentially might happen or might not happen. We'll see how that develops."

And on the possibility of Bell leaving, McNamara added: "There is potential, but none of it is confirmed yet."
