Cowboys lead Cardinals 14-3 at halftime

The Cardinals have had opportunities at AT&T Stadium today. They have not taken advantage of them, though, and have work to do if they are to remain undefeated in what has become their second home.

Arizona, which is 4-0 in Arlington, trails the Cowboys 14-3 at halftime.

Cowboys punt return Jonathan Mingo muffed the Cardinals’ first punt, but Arizona didn’t recover. The Cardinals then stopped Javonte Williams for a 2-yard loss on fourth-and-1 at the Dallas 32, with Mack Wilson making the tackle for loss.

The Cardinals, though, got no points when Jeremiyah Love was stopped by Caleb Downs and Kenny Clark on fourth-and-goal at the 1. Love has since left with an ankle injury, and running back Bam Knight was helped off with an injury with 11 seconds left in the half.

The Cardinals had another drive to the Dallas 19 before Chad Ryland got them on the board with a 37-yard field goal.

The biggest blow for the visitors came when Williams fumbled at the goal line and tight end James Mitchell recovered for the Cowboys in the end zone for a touchdown. The Dallas score came after Shemar James intercepted Jacoby Brissett and returned it 33 yards to the Arizona 5.

The Cowboys also scored on a 9-yard pass from Dak Prescott to Ryan Flournoy.

Arizona has outgained Dallas 136 to 109, but the Cardinals have two turnovers.

Brissett is 8-of-20 for 104 yards and an interception, and Love has nine carries for 23 yards. Michael Wilson, who was injured late in the first half, has two catches for 25 yards.

Prescott is 9-of-11 for 85 yards and a touchdown, with CeeDee Lamb catching four for 44. Williams has 10 carries for 30 yards.

Brandon Aubrey missed a 61-yard field goal on the final play of the first half, which came after Knight’s fumble was recovered by LT Overton on a big hit by DeMarvion Overshown.
