Knox is a versatile part of the free-scoring Reds’ line-up this season and she scored a brilliant goal from the edge of the box during last weekend’s hard-fought 3-1 triumph away to Barry.
Sugarman told the club: “We’ve asked her to play in a number of different positions already this season.
“Whether that’s as a wide player, or that’s in a pocket as a 10, as a solo and today we shifted her from a central attacking midfielder to two early in the first half, and I think you see from her, whichever position she picks up on the pitch, her intention is to try and create goals.
“You know, she’s working on her all-round game and we’re doing lots of support around that.
“But, you know, what we know that every week she is going to provide is goal contributions and you’ve seen that again.”
Knox grabbed the second of Wrexham’s three goals at Barry, superbly firing her effort into the top corner of the net.
This came six minutes after Natasha Thomas had put the visitors in front, while Maria Francis-Jones scored direct from a corner to seal the deal after the interval.
Knox now has five goals for the season from six appearances, as well as supplying no fewer than eight assists.
She has really made her mark in a pair of 8-1 triumphs the team has gathered away from home.
Alongside Katie Barker, Knox knocked in a hat-trick in the win at Swansea, while she supplied three assists in less than an hour at Briton Ferry Llansawel.
It’s the return clash with Briton Ferry Llansawel at The Rock on Sunday.
Wrexham go into this match-up at the top of the league, level on points with The New Saints, while three points back are third-placed Cardiff City.
