A whirlwind of emotions, eight goals and relentless end-to-end action: Bergamo bore witness to pure chaos as Atalanta and Frosinone shared the spoils in a spectacular 4-4 draw. It was a breathless contest littered with defensive blunders, fightbacks and unending drama, leaving both camps with mixed feelings: the visitors climb to sixth, whilst 'La Dea' remain 11th.

Frosinone broke the deadlock by capitalising on a glaring howler by Ederson while playing out from the back. The Brazilian gifted possession straight to Schmid, who kept his composure when one-on-one with Carnesecchi: the number 10 made no mistake, tucking away the fastest goal of the Serie A campaign so far.

Atalanta offered an immediate response. In the 14th minute, De Ketelaere threaded an inch-perfect through ball for Nikola Krstović, who slipped in behind the defence and slotted past Palmisani to make it 1-1. However, the Nerazzurri's relief was fleeting: just five minutes later, Schmid struck again. Left completely unmarked inside the penalty area, the visitors' playmaker timed his arrival perfectly to sweep home past Carnesecchi with a first-time finish and restore Frosinone's lead.

Forced to chase once more, 'La Dea' found a lifeline on the half-hour mark. The referee pointed to the spot for a handball by Cittadini, and Ederson made amends for his earlier error by calmly converting the penalty. Atalanta seized the momentum and turned the contest on its head right on the stroke of half-time: Zappacosta delivered an inviting cross, and Krstović met it with a superb first-time volley to claim his brace and fire the hosts 3-2 ahead.

Yet the second half ushered in another twist. Frosinone refused to roll over and restored parity almost immediately after the restart: Ghedjemis picked out Calo on the edge of the area, and the number 14 curled an unstoppable right-footed strike beyond Carnesecchi's reach. At 3-3, the game was wide open once again.

The encounter continued to teeter on a knife edge until Atalanta edged in front yet again courtesy of Elmas, who tapped in from point-blank range following an assist from Krstović. It looked to be the decisive blow, but Frosinone conjured one final answer: substitute Terzić pounced in the dying stages to stun Bergamo, securing the definitive 4-4 equaliser.

Eight goals, non-stop comebacks, and a frantic finale that rewarded the visitors' persistence: Atalanta and Frosinone took a point apiece after an extraordinary contest in which neither side could deliver the knockout blow.
