Bogle caught Spurs attacker Tel high on the Achilles with his studs in the 34th minute at Elland Road, but despite a lengthy VAR review, referee John Brooks was not sent to the pitchside monitor and the full-back faced no further punishment.
Tel was subsequently forced off two minutes before half-time with a “bad injury”, according to Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi, and the Press Association understands the north London club will write to Pro Ref to seek clarification over why Bogle was not shown a red card.

Spurs benefitted from a VAR review in their recent 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace after Jean-Philippe Mateta was dismissed for a rash sliding tackle which caught Micky van de Ven on the Achilles.
Bogle’s challenge on Tel caught the Tottenham forward in a similar area high on the ankle but did not result in a card of any colour.
De Zerbi, though, refused to criticise the decision, saying: “I can’t say something more because I didn’t see clearly the situation.”
