Two-goal Emil Riis boosted Leicester's League One revival as the Foxes sealed a poignant 3-0 home victory over Wigan.
The ex-Bristol City striker took his goal tally to seven since joining last month as the Foxes marked the eighth anniversary of the death of the club's former owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha in a helicopter crash next to the King Power Stadium with their third win in four games.
Riis had a deflected effort tipped onto the bar by Joe Whitworth before breaking the deadlock from Will Smallbone's 17th-minute corner. Caleb Okoli flicked on at the near post and the Dane forced the ball into an unguarded net inches from goal.
Russell Martin's side again displayed the defensive frailties that have dogged them this season, and Wigan should have been ahead before half-time as Scott Hogan's shot was saved by Alex McCarthy before Dara Costelloe fired wide of an open goal from six yards out.
Riis wrapped up victory in the 67th minute, steering home a Luke Thomas cross at the near post before substitute Bobby De Cordova-Reid made it three from a stoppage-time penalty after Reggie Walsh fouled Harry Souttar.
