Alexander Isak is quickly becoming the striker Liverpool supporters were hoping he would turn into after joining for £125m from Newcastle.

The Swede outed himself as one of the best No. 9s in world football while playing for the Magpies, and after a stuttering first year, he is finally doing the same at Anfield.

Fans will now be hoping that Isak can follow in the footsteps of some of their iconic strikers of the Premier League era. And according to the man himself, it is Luis Suarez who he would most like to replicate in red.

Liverpool have a LOT of attacking options and someone has to miss out 👀 What front three would you select?

Luis Suarez is Isak’s favourite Liverpool striker

Isak is the latest in a fairly long list of Liverpool hitmen to light up the Premier League, with the Reds claiming some incredibly prolific players over the last 34 years.

Isak was asked to pick between the best of them in a winner stays on challenge by Premier League Brasil, with Roberto Firmino firstly pitted against Daniel Sturridge.

After being picked over Sturridge and then Peter Crouch, Firmino is knocked out by Sadio Mane, who downs his old teammate of the Jurgen Klopp era.

Mane is quickly knocked out by Suarez, who Isak goes on to pick instead of Fernando Torres, Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler.

“I would say Suarez because that’s the one I watched the most,” said the 27-year-old.

It would be fascinating to see whether Isak would have picked Suarez over Mohamed Salah, but in terms of strikers, the Uruguayan is certainly a strong choice. Hopefully Isak learnt a thing or two from watching him over the years.
