FC Halifax Town have announced the loan signing of defender Lucas Houghton from Blackburn Rovers.

Houghton, 19, is a right-back and will add competition for places in that position after injuries to AJ Warburton and Max Bardell left Dylan Crowe as the only senior player in that role.

Houghton made his Blackburn debut in August in the club’s 2-1 home defeat to Sheffield United in the League Cup and also played in their 0-0 draw at Lincoln in the Championship last month.
