Ansu Fati (23) will miss around six weeks of action, according to a report from Nice-Matin. It has been an injury-hit start to the season for the AS Monaco playmaker, who also missed the start of the campaign through injury.

The Spaniard sustained the injury during Sunday’s 1-1 draw against Lille OSC. The previous week, Fati started his first Ligue 1 game of the season. Whilst he started the match against SC Freiburg on Thursday from the bench, he came on in the second half and netted in a 3-0 win. He then made back-to-back starts in Ligue 1, starting in the No.10 position against LOSC at the Stade Louis II.

However, he only managed 15 minutes before being forced off with a hamstring injury. He was replaced by Mathys Detourbet. Fati will now be out for around six weeks. The hope is that he will return shortly before the short Winter break at the end of December.
