New Leeds United, Sunderland, Villa, Tottenham calls in Opta's predicted final Premier League table and points

A look at data experts Opta’s predicted final Premier League table as Leeds United head to Sunderland.

Leeds United could feasibly move fourth with a victory at Sunday’s bottom-of-the-table hosts Sunderland - and stats experts Opta have cast a fresh Whites verdict in their new predicted final Premier League table and points.

Daniel Farke’s Whites began the weekend in seventh place and only dropped one position after Saturday’s results as Aston Villa jumped above them and into sixth with their 2-1 win at home to leaders Manchester City.

Leeds, who have ten points from their seven games played so far, would take themselves on to 13 points with a win at Sunderland and level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea after a 2-0 defeat for the Blues at home to Tottenham Hotspur.

Brentford, who are ahead of United on goal difference, visit Hull City in one of four 2pm kick-offs today whilst fifth-placed Liverpool who are two points ahead of Leeds host third-placed Brighton in another 2pm start.

Sunderland, meanwhile, sit bottom on just four points from seven games played but a win against the Whites would take them above both second-bottom Coventry City and third-bottom Nottingham Forest,

The Whites and Black Cats have had very different starts to the season and here is here data experts Opta have both teams finishing and with how many points in their new predicted final table ahead of Sunday’s games.
