BOXER Zak Miller was pulled out against rival Gully Powar after suffering a horror hematoma described as the ‘worst ever seen”.
The featherweight pair fought for the vacant British title on the undercard of Joshua Buatsi and Willy Hutchinson’s world title fight.
But the bout was stopped after ten rounds due to horrendous swelling over the right eye of Miller.
Powar had been outworking Miller before they clashed heads – forcing the frightening hematoma.
But Miller was outrageously allowed to continue on for two more needless rounds after the bumbling ringside doctor allowed it to continue.
Thankfully, after the swelling had reached a point of no return – the fight was stopped and went to the judges scorecards.
And all three scored it in favour of Powar, 96-95, 97-94 and 96-94, to crown the 24-year-old the new British champ.
But fans were left in disbelief at the sheer amount of time it took Miller to be pulled out of the action.
One said: “Where the f*** was the duty of care for Zak Miller that is an absolutely horrendous look for the sport.
“Hope Zak Miller is ok. Doctor let that go on for another two rounds.”
Another X user wrote: “Crazy for the corner and doctor to not stop it earlier.”
Someone else added: “I can’t believe he is stood there waiting for the decision. He should be on his way to hospital surely immediately.”
A fourth said: “Awful swelling, disgustingly cowardly doctor letting that fight continue.”
And DAZN presenters Ade Oladipo and Carl Frampton were left shell-shocked.
Oladipo said: “I’ve seen some hematomas in the sport, but that is one of the worst I’ve ever seen.”
And former world champion Frampton added: “That is the worst I’ve ever seen.”
