Alan Brazil has sided with unhappy Celtic fans when discussing this week’s question-and-answer session at the Greenock Supporters’ Club.
Along with O’Neill, the Celtic board faced a ‘hard but fair’ grilling in Inverclyde on Monday, with the club later addressing the session in a statement.
It came off the back of a run of adverse results for O’Neill’s team both domestically and in Europe, though they do still sit at the top of the Scottish Premiership with 28 points.
Hoops-supporting radio presenter Brazil has tended to be sceptical of disgruntled supporters in the past, but having watched the game on Sunday, voiced his frustrations with the club and sided with fans on Wednesday morning.

Discussing the Q-and-A, Brazil said on his morning breakfast show on talkSPORT: “I know somebody who was there, and he was saying that the Celtic fans were very surprised to see Martin there.
“Martin took to the stage, so he’s standing up to this fight. Sunday’s defeat leaves them with just three wins in ten, and topics covered at the meeting were transfers, recruitment, communication, ambition and strategy.
“We’re top of the league, and I hate upsetting anything to do with Celtic, but I’m with the fans here. It’s unacceptable the way they’ve been playing lately. Unacceptable.
“It’s in my blood, and when I watched that game, I sat down and said, ‘Leave me alone, Jill.’ I’ve got the fire on, the big telly, and I expected Celtic to dominate.
“Did they heck. Did they heck. Alright, as the game went on, they started to have more of the ball, but that’s not the Celtic I used to watch going there. I’ve said this before: I remember going to Brockville when the wall collapsed. Very famous event. Thank God, no one died. It was that packed and busy.
“But Falkirk deserved that win, by the way. They deserved it, honestly. Celtic could’ve scored more, but it’s sad, really. You look at the top of the table and think ‘Oh, hold on a minute. Don’t be too negative here, Alan…’
“But they could’ve gone seven ahead! And did they want it enough? Did the players want it enough? I don’t think they did, I’m sorry. Right, I’ve said my bit now.”
