In July 2024, NHL player Mikhail Sergachev had put his waterfront home in Tampa, Florida, on the market for $10.9 million. This came just two days after his trade to Utah was announced. In September 2023, Sergachev bought the property for around $9 million, reported Mansion Global. He sold the home less than a year after buying it.

It is located in Tampa Beach's Park neighbourhood. The home covers 8,766 square feet and was built in 2023 by Modesta Homes and features six bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. This property was listed on July 1, 2024.

What luxurious features did the property have?

The property is a three-level home designed with modern interiors and several features. It was mostly aimed at luxury buyers. It had a swimming pool and spa, an outdoor kitchen, a movie theater and a temperature-controlled wine room.

It also included a floating staircase and a glass elevator. The garage could accommodate up to 10 cars.

There was also a private dock with two boat lifts. The home was built with concrete-block construction, and elevated living spaces intended to help reduce flood risk.

Jennifer Zales of Coldwell Banker Realty handled the listing. The property's new construction was one of its selling points.

Was the asking price reduced?

$10.9 million was the original asking price. The price had been reduced by $300,000 to $10.6 million by August 2024, according to reports.

The listing price was higher than the approximately $9 million Sergachev had paid for the property in 2023. However, an asking price does not establish how much a seller will ultimately receive.

Sergachev had joined the Tampa Bay Lightning in a 2017 trade with the Montreal Canadiens. During his time with Tampa Bay, he helped the team win the Stanley Cup in 2020 and 2021.

The move to Utah came as part of a big trade, which involved the Lightning and the newly established Utah hockey franchise. This meant that he would be leaving Tampa.
