MrBeast hopes to pit 'handicapped' LeBron James against Michael Jordan in incredible showdown
MrBeast

MrBeast came close to defeating LeBron James in a shooting contest on YouTube, while admitting he aims to pit Michael Jordan against James at some point.

Arguably the biggest YouTuber in the industry, MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, regularly spends millions on his videos, including getting James to participate in a three-point shooting contest.

James has long been compared to Jordan as two of the greatest NBA players of all time, a hotly contested debate among fans. The two have never shared the court since Jordan retired in 2003, the year James was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers as the first overall pick.

A clip of MrBeast speaking with streamer Adin Ross has resurfaced and gone viral after he stated his ambitions of getting the two together in some sort of competition.

He said, "One of my most-seen videos in the last year is where I had Ronaldo 1-v-1 like a random fan for a million dollars. People loved it.

"So I was just randomly thinking, and the other day I was like, imagine if we got LeBron and Michael Jordan to 1-v-1 and we handicapped them in some way. They would never do it, but imagine if we could get that to happen. You know how ------- crazy that would be?"

Jordan is now 62 years old, and he hasn't been seen around basketball games in years after he sold the Charlotte Hornets franchise.

The Chicago Bulls legend is now much more involved with NASCAR, owning the 23XI Racing Team alongside Denny Hamlin. The team has a number of star drivers competing for them, including Bubba Wallace, Tyler Reddick, and up-and-coming star Corey Heim.

In the video with MrBeast, James struggled to make his three-point shots, with the YouTuber coming close to beating him in a charity competition.

The Philadelphia 76ers superstar eventually came out on top, winning $100,000 for the LeBron James Family Foundation, his charity in Akron, Ohio.

James joked about his three-point shooting ability, admitting he "is no Steph Curry."

James has surpassed Jordan in most metrics and honors, but has won fewer NBA titles with four, while Jordan has six.

But James is looking likely to compete for his fifth title this year after leaving the Los Angeles Lakers to join the Sixers, alongside All-Stars Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown and Tyrese Maxey.
