During the 3rd T20I, Abhishek Sharma went berserk as he smashed a hundred in the game and took the game away from the New Zealand side. He went carnage and smacked the Kiwi bowlers all over the park and made a mockery of 199 run chase. However, despite his amazing innings, his mentor Yuvraj Singh took a funny dig at the Southpaw.

India had already won the first two games of the series, chasing 226 runs and achieving the highest successful run chase, and won a thriller in the second game where Tilak Varma was the hero. In this third game, they won the match by 6 wickets and sealed the series in dominating fashion at the Hnry Stadium in Wellington.

After Abhishek Sharma smashed a fifty off 15 deliveries in the third game, Yuvraj Singh, his mentor, took a funny dig that the Southpaw cannot beat the record of 50 off 12 deliveries, which Yuvi scored in the 2007 T20 World Cup against England, where he smacked six sixes in an over against Stuart Broad. He also congratulated Abhishek for his hundred.

Yuvraj Singh was in a different mood in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup, where he was provoked by Andrew Flintoff, and later the frustration came out against Stuart Broad, as Yuvi was batting 14 off 6 balls and then took charge in the 18th over, scoring 36 runs and finishing with 58 off 16 deliveries in an era when T20 cricket was not widely played.

In another post, Yuvraj Singh acknowledged that he also can't make 100 off 30 or 35 balls like Abhishek.

Abhishek Sharma went berserk for India

Abhishek Sharma was brilliant in the match as he scored a hundred in 35 deliveries. He smacked 9 fours and 11 sixes in his explosive innings, where he played a knock of 113 runs off 38 deliveries and took the game away from the Black Caps inside the powerplay alongside his opening partner Vaibhav Sooryavanshi.

India chase down 199 with ease

The run chase of 199 runs was over inside the powerplay as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Abhishek went on to charge the Kiwi bowlers from the very first ball as they scored 100 inside five overs. It was started by Vaibhav, but Abhishek took over.

The Men in Blue stitched a 133-run partnership for the first wicket as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi scored 45 runs off 19 deliveries, smashing six fours and six sixes. They looked the run chase looked very easy as India won with 40 balls to spare.
