The NFL trade deadline (Nov. 10) is fast approaching. The Las Vegas Raiders could be sellers at the deadline after entering this weekend having lost four consecutive games. A huge trade occurred on Thursday that could impact the Raiders' willingness to assess opportunities.
The rebuilding Tennessee Titans traded All Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears in exchange for two first-round picks (2027 and 2028) and an additional fourth-round selection (2027). That's quite the haul for a defensive player, and it poses a direct question to general manager John Spytek.
Could the Raiders get a similar package for Maxx Crosby?
Luckily, we don't have to totally rely on projection to assume what Crosby's trade value is around the league. The Raiders agreed to trade Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens earlier this offseason in exchange for first-round selections in the 2026 and 2027 NFL drafts. As you know, the Ravens backed out of the deal before it was finalized with the league office.
Simmons just fetched a similar return for the Titans. That provides tangible reasons to believe that Crosby's value in a trade would still include the Raiders receiving two first-round picks in exchange for his services. Given the current state of the Raiders, there may be an opportunity worth exploring.
