Football pundit Alfred Takyi Mensah says Harry Kane does not deserve the award he won.
According to him, the Bundesliga is a far easier league, and scoring goals there should not be compared to scoring in more competitive leagues.
He argued that the award should have gone to either Lamine Yamal or Kylian Mbappe, who he believes had a tougher season and showed more quality.
" Harry Kane does not deserve the award. The Bundesliga is an easier league, and the award should have gone to either Lamine Yamal or Kylian Mbappe," Alfred Takyi Mensah stated.
He explained that while Kane scored many goals in Germany, the level of competition in the Bundesliga is not the same as in La Liga or the Premier League. He said defenders in Germany give strikers more space, making it easier to score.
For him, Lamine Yamal, despite his young age, carried Barcelona and Spain with big performances, while Mbappe proved himself on the biggest stages for both club and country.
Alfred said giving the award to Kane only rewards easy goals and ignores real hard work.
His comment has sparked a big debate among football fans, with some agreeing that the Bundesliga is less competitive, while others say a goal is a goal, no matter the league.
