UWCL Table After Manchester City Drew 1-1

According to a report published by BBC Sport on Thursday, October 29, 2026, Manchester City Women missed out on victory after Paris Saint-Germain Women scored a late equaliser to secure a 1-1 draw in the UEFA Women's Champions League.

The first half ended goalless, with both sides struggling to find a way through their opponents' defensive lines. Despite having home advantage, Manchester City found it difficult to take control of the contest, while PSG remained organised and disciplined at the back.

The referee brought the opening period to an end after four minutes of added time, with neither team managing to break the deadlock.

Both sides continued their search for the opening goal after the restart and made substitutions in an attempt to improve their attacking threat.

Manchester City introduced Mary Fowler in the 62nd minute before bringing on Niamh Charles and Iman Beney as they looked to increase the pressure on the visitors.

Paris Saint-Germain also made changes as they attempted to find a way past the hosts' defence. However, neither team could gain a decisive advantage as the match approached its closing stages.

Manchester City eventually took the lead in the 85th minute when Khadija Shaw confidently converted a penalty to put the hosts 1-0 ahead.

The goal raised hopes of a late victory for City, but PSG responded just three minutes later to level the score.

Tara Elimbi found the net in the 88th minute after receiving an assist from Griedge Mbock Bathy Nka, denying Manchester City the opportunity to claim all three points.

Despite the late setback, City were unable to find another goal before the final whistle and had to settle for a draw.

The result left Manchester City Women in ninth place in the UEFA Women's Champions League table with three points. Paris Saint-Germain Women, meanwhile, moved up to sixth position after taking their tally to five points.
