EPL Table After Arsenal Won 2-0

According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Arsenal strengthened their position in the Premier League title race with an impressive 2-0 victory over Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta's side secured three valuable points through goals from Ezri Konsa and Gabriel Magalhães, moving level on points with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Arsenal entered Saturday's encounter knowing that a victory would boost their title ambitions, particularly after Manchester City suffered a surprising 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa earlier in the afternoon.

The Gunners made a strong start against Everton, with England international Ezri Konsa opening the scoring in the seventh minute following a corner.

The early goal allowed the London side to dominate possession and control the game against David Moyes' men.

Despite Everton's attempts to respond, Arsenal maintained their defensive organisation while searching for a second goal.

Their efforts paid off in the second half when Brazilian defender Gabriel Magalhães doubled their lead with a powerful header from Ben White's delivery.

The victory took Arsenal to 21 points from eight Premier League matches, having recorded seven wins and one defeat.

Manchester City remain top of the standings with 21 points from eight games, with their superior goal difference keeping them ahead of Arsenal.

City have also recorded seven wins and one defeat, with a goal difference of plus 11 compared with Arsenal's plus eight.

Brighton and Hove Albion occupy third place with 16 points from seven matches, while Chelsea sit fourth with 13 points.

Liverpool are fifth with 12 points, having recorded three wins, three draws and one defeat in their opening seven league matches.

Aston Villa climbed to sixth place with 11 points following their impressive victory over Manchester City.

Brentford and Leeds United occupy seventh and eighth positions respectively, with both sides collecting 10 points.

Everton remain on 10 points following their defeat to Arsenal, while Ipswich Town have also accumulated 10 points.

Manchester United currently sit 13th with seven points from seven matches, although they have an opportunity to improve their position when they face Bournemouth on Sunday.

At the bottom of the table, Sunderland occupy 20th place with four points, while Coventry City and Fulham are also battling to move away from the relegation zone.

Arsenal's victory has increased the pressure on Manchester City, with the two sides now separated only by goal difference.

However, the standings could change further as Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United and other Premier League clubs complete their remaining weekend fixtures.

For Arteta and his players, the result represents another important step in their pursuit of the Premier League title this season.
