Barcelona receive official transfer message from one of Europe's finest talents

According to a report by FootballTransfers on Sunday, October 25, 2026, Barcelona have received a positive indication from Djurgarden midfielder Bo Hegland after reportedly monitoring his performances throughout the year.

The 22-year-old has attracted the Spanish club’s attention following an impressive campaign in Sweden, where he has recorded 10 goals and 16 assists.

Hegland made history on Saturday after registering his 16th assist of the Allsvenskan season during Djurgarden’s draw against Orgryte. His pass for Jeppe Okkels established a new record for the most assists recorded in a single season in Sweden’s top division.

According to SPORT, Barcelona have sent scouts to watch the Norway Under-21 international this year as they evaluate his potential and consider whether to pursue a move.

Asked about the reported interest from the Catalan giants, Hegland described the attention as a compliment and a sign that his performances have attracted recognition.

The attacking midfielder also explained why he decided to remain at Djurgarden despite having an opportunity to join Belgian club Anderlecht during the summer transfer window.

Hegland believes he still has plenty of room to develop in the Swedish league and remains happy with his current situation. He is under contract with Djurgarden until 2029.

The midfielder joined the Swedish side from Moss in June 2025 and has since recorded 12 goals and 19 assists in 33 appearances.

His market value is currently estimated at €2 million, although the reported interest from Barcelona could increase attention surrounding his future.

Djurgarden currently sit second in the Allsvenskan, with Hegland establishing himself as one of the competition’s most impressive attacking players.

A potential move to Barcelona would also represent a historic achievement, as he could become the first Norwegian male footballer to play for the Catalan club.

Norwegian women, including Caroline Graham Hansen and former Barcelona player Ingrid Engen, have previously represented the Spanish giants.
