Club Africain host TP Mazembe on Sunday in the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, with both sides aiming to reach the competition’s group stage.
The first leg in the Democratic Republic of the Congo ended 1-1, leaving the tie finely balanced ahead of the return match in Tunisia.
The game will be played at the Olympic Stadium Hammadi Agrebi in Rades, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00 French and Lubumbashi time. The match will begin at 18:00 in Tunisia and Kinshasa.
No broadcaster has been announced in France. Club Africain could make the match available to stream for free through its mobile application, Lefri9i App, which is available on the Play Store, as well as through its website and YouTube channel. The club announced those possible options on its social media accounts.
The match will be shown free-to-air in Tunisia on beIn Sports Mena 1. In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, it will be broadcast by Canal+ Sport Afrique, although the channel has yet to be confirmed.
Club Africain will qualify automatically with a victory or a 0-0 draw. Any other 1-1 draw would send the tie to a penalty shoot-out.
The Tunisian club have not appeared in the CAF Champions League since the 2018-2019 season and are seeking a return to the competition’s final phase.
TP Mazembe, meanwhile, must win or draw 2-2 or higher to progress to the group stage. The Corbeaux missed the previous edition and are also attempting to return to the tournament’s main phase.
The sides drew 1-1 in Lubumbashi in the first leg. Kazema Baso put TP Mazembe ahead in the 38th minute, but Alain Kante levelled only a minute later.
Their most recent meeting in Rades also ended in a draw, with the teams playing out a goalless result in February 2019. That followed an 8-0 victory for TP Mazembe in the first leg.
