Ghana’s men’s beach volleyball team opened their campaign at the 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Dakar, Senegal, with a 2–0 defeat to Australia on Saturday, October 31.
The Ghanaian pair of Justice Amoafo and Daniel Lartey lost to Ryan Edgar & Thomas Turner in their Pool C encounter at Saly Beach.
The defeat leaves Ghana needing a win in their next match to improve their chances of reaching the knockout stage. Amoafo and Lartey will face Kazakhstan’s Alikhan Agabek & Orazali Sagynysh on Sunday, November 1, in their second pool match.
The pool stage concludes on Monday, November 2, with the top two teams from each group and the best third-placed teams advancing to the Round of 16. The team will be looking to bounce back against Kazakhstan and keep Ghana’s knockout-stage hopes alive.
