Hearts of Oak players are reportedly owed three months’ salaries and three match-winning bonuses, according to a report by Kumasi-based Nhyira FM.
The report claims that the outstanding payments involve both the players’ monthly wages and bonuses earned from victories in recent matches.
The reported arrears could become a concern for the Phobians as they continue their campaign in the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League.
Match-winning bonuses are separate from players’ regular salaries and are usually tied to victories, depending on the terms agreed between players and their club.
The Rainbow Club are currently on a three-game winning streak and are occupying second position with 17 points after eight matches.
Hearts of Oak are yet to publicly clarify the reported situation, with further information needed to establish the club’s position on the alleged salary and bonus arrears.
