Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon has admitted that their win against Basake Holy Stars in the Ghana Premier League did not come easy.
The Still Believe outfit recorded a 1-0 victory over their week nine opponent on Sunday, after going eight matches without a win.
On the matchday, a solitary strike from Bernard Kokonu in the 50th minute earned Dreams FC all three points.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Winfred Dormon acknowledged the quality of the Basake Holy Stars team, indicating that his team suffered a tough time to pick up the win.
“We knew it would be a very, very difficult game, tactically astute, but we managed to prepare the minds and the bodies of the players. We have watched some clips of Baseke at home and away games, and they are a very, very, very good team, physically and mentally competitive team.
“So, by and large, I think Dreams FC really laboured to win this game,” the Dreams FC coach said.
Despite winning their first Ghana Premier League match, Dreams FC remain bottom of the league table.
In the next round of league matches, Dreams FC will take on Debibi United.
