Manuel Neuer is a doubt for our match at the Allianz Arena, but whether he features or not, David has taken plenty of tips from the German stopper over the years.
"I like every single thing about Manuel Neuer," David said in his pre-match press conference. "He's a legend of the game, even though he's still playing. What he's done, what he has achieved, personally and collectively, is remarkable.
"He's been a great goalkeeper and a great role model for a lot of young goalkeepers. When I was young, he was playing, and I learnt a lot from him. It's just a pleasure to be sharing the pitch with him once again. Hopefully he can play so we can see him again. I'm really happy for him and hopefully he'll be fit enough to play tomorrow."
David has been part of a rock-solid backline since his arrival in N5. A new addition to that defence is Ezri Konsa, who joined from Aston Villa this summer, and our goalkeeper has been impressed with the England international.
"He's settled in like a glove; he's incredible," he said. "The maturity and the leadership that he brings to the team is fantastic. He's a leader in the back four, he demands a lot from everybody.
"I think the performances that he's put in since he came, they're incredible. I think he's just found his feet so quick and that's great to everyone, and obviously great to him to have adapted so well."
Bayern boast a formidable home record in the Champions League, losing just one of their past 31 matches in the competition at the Allianz.
While it's just our third match of an eight-game League Phase, David knows the significance of the contest, as we look to extend our 14-match winning run at this stage of the competition.
He said: "We know every game is big. We know Bayern Munich are incredible, so it feels like a big game, no matter what stage we are at. That's the league phase, it's like this now, you get big games like Barcelona v PSG, so it's just so good to be playing all these games.
"The most important thing is the three points. No matter where you play, you play against the best teams in Europe, so we're going to go out there to try and get the three points."
