Ghanaian international goalkeeper Joseph Anang has been shortlisted for St Patrick’s Athletic’s Player of the Year award for 2026 after an impressive season with the Irish club.
The 26-year-old is one of five players in contention for the individual honour, alongside Luke Turner, Joe Redmond, Kian Leavy and Jamie Lennon.
Anang’s nomination reflects his consistent performances for the Dublin-based side in the League of Ireland Premier Division, where he has played an important role throughout the campaign.
The former West Ham United goalkeeper has made 30 league appearances this season, keeping 10 clean sheets in the process.
The stalwart goalie’s record between the posts has contributed to St Patrick’s Athletic’s defensive efforts, with the Ghanaian maintaining a regular presence in the team.
Joseph Anang has been with the Black Stars for sometime now and is expected to make the cut for the Somalia double header next month.
