Ghanaian international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has received the Community Impact Award at the Best of Africa Awards, which was staged in London, recognising his efforts beyond the football pitch.
The 22-year-old was honoured for using his platform as a professional footballer to contribute positively to society, highlighting the impact players can make outside their sporting careers.
The mercurial wideman currently plays for Ipswich Town, having joined the club last summer and continues to build his career in England while seeking to make his mark both on and off the pitch.
The former Steadfast and Dreams FC has recorded one assist in seven appearances for Ipswich Town so far this season as he continues to work hard in order to establish himself as a mainstay at the club.
Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will hope to secure starting berth when Ipswich Town play as visitors to Hull City in their next Premier League game.
