Hearts of Oak attacking midfielder Hussein Mohammed says he will put his emotions aside when he faces former club Debibi United FC in Sunday's Ghana Premier League encounter.
The midfielder is expected to feature when the Phobians travel to the Debibi Presby Park for their Matchday Nine fixture against the newly promoted side.
Mohammed admitted the meeting would be an emotional occasion but insisted his immediate priority was to help Hearts maintain their impressive start to the season.
"Playing against Debibi United this week is going to be something else. Though it will be very, very emotional, given the kind of football we are playing at Hearts of Oak, I personally have to put those emotions aside and focus. After playing that game, I think I will bring out the emotional side," he said.
Hearts head into the encounter on the back of three consecutive league victories, having beaten Basake Holy Stars 1-0 at the UG Sports Stadium last weekend.
The result lifted the Accra-based club to second place with 17 points after eight matches, level on points with leaders Medeama SC but behind on goal difference.
The Phobians have also been impressive defensively, conceding just twice in their opening eight matches.
Debibi, meanwhile, will be looking to respond after suffering a 3-0 defeat to Bechem United last weekend.
The debutants sit 16th with seven points and will hope to use their home advantage to frustrate the visitors.
