Ghanaian forward André Ayew has revealed that he is negotiating with two or three clubs as he considers the next step in his professional football career.

The former Black Stars captain says he is assessing his available options before making a final decision, with his personal interests and the well-being of his family among the key factors influencing his choice.

Ayew, who has enjoyed a lengthy career across several European leagues, indicated that discussions with interested clubs are ongoing and that he expects to settle his future in the near future.

“I’m negotiating with two or three clubs. I’ll choose the best option for me and my family and make a decision pretty soon.”

The 36-year-old forward has built an extensive career spanning France, England, Turkey and other football destinations, establishing himself as one of Ghana’s most experienced players.

Ayew began his professional career at Olympique de Marseille, where he developed into an important first-team player before moving to the English Premier League with Swansea City.

His performances at Swansea earned him recognition for his attacking versatility, work rate and ability to contribute in crucial moments. He later featured for West Ham United and Nottingham Forest, among other clubs, while continuing to represent Ghana at international level.

The son of Ghanaian football legend Abedi Pele, Ayew has also played a significant role in the Black Stars over the years, serving as captain and participating in multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and FIFA World Cups.

His experience, leadership and understanding of the demands of elite football could make him an attractive option for clubs seeking an experienced attacking player.

However, Ayew has not disclosed the identities of the clubs involved in the negotiations, leaving his next destination uncertain.

His comments suggest that he is taking a measured approach to the decision rather than rushing into an agreement, with the opportunity to secure the right sporting and personal arrangement appearing central to his plans.

For Ghanaian football supporters, the coming weeks could provide greater clarity on where the veteran forward will continue his career as he evaluates the proposals available to him.

Until an agreement is reached and officially announced, Ayew’s next club remains unconfirmed.
