Raja Casablanca will welcome El Kanemi Warriors to the Stade Mohammed V on Friday for the second leg of their second-round preliminary tie in the Coupe de la CAF.
The match will begin at 22:00 French time (20:00 in Morocco) in Casablanca.
No broadcaster had been confirmed in France at the time of writing. In Morocco, coverage had not been formally announced by either beIN Sports Mena or Arryadia. The match could instead be streamed on Raja’s official Facebook page, as happened for the first leg.
Raja take a useful advantage into the return fixture after drawing 2-2 in Ikenne, Nigeria, five days earlier. The two goals scored away from home leave the Moroccan side needing either a 0-0 or 1-1 draw, or a victory, to reach the group stage.
El Kanemi Warriors, also known as the Desert Warriors, took the lead in the 24th minute. Mohammad Abu Zrayq brought Raja level before Mathias Oyewusi Kehinde put the visitors ahead shortly after the hour mark. El Kanemi Warriors equalised in the 82nd minute.
Raja will be without Zidani, who was sent off during the first meeting and is suspended for the return leg. Adam Ennaffati and Ayoub El Amloud are available again after recovering from injury, while Ismail Mokadem returns from suspension.
The Casablanca club have not lost at home to a Nigerian team in African inter-club competition since 1999. Their record across four such meetings is three victories and one draw.
That sequence began with a 1-0 win over Shooting Stars in the Champions League in September 1999. Raja then defeated Enyimba 1-0 in July 2005 in the Champions League and beat the same opponents 2-1 in the Coupe de la CAF in October 2018.
The only match in that period that Raja did not win was a 0-0 draw with Enyimba in the Champions League in August 2011.
A place in the Coupe de la CAF group stage is therefore within reach for Raja, who will progress with a clean-sheet draw of either 0-0 or 1-1, as well as with any victory.
