Captain of the National U-15 Boys, Abdul Aziz Issa, says the team will not rest on their laurels after placing 7th out of 189 countries at the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival 2026 in Azerbaijan.
Ghana won eight of their ten matches, including a commanding 4-0 victory over Colombia in their final game, despite suffering a 7-1 defeat to Brazil in the Tier A Ranking Play-Offs.
"We are not going to rest at all, we shall continue to learn more from our coaches and continue to grow and develop," Issa said.
"I believe that this group and a few more quality additions will do well in future competitions."
The captain admitted the team came with ambitions to win the trophy but was proud of their overall performance.
"We came here with loads of confidence to win the competition and worked towards that goal, but it wasn't enough. However, I think the team did extremely well."
The team made a flying start to their campaign, winning all five matches in Group W to finish top of the standings with a perfect 15 points.
Their dominant group-stage performance saw them score 27 goals while conceding just three, underlining their attacking quality and defensive discipline.
Ghana opened their campaign with a commanding 4-1 victory over Uzbekistan before thrashing Myanmar 7-1. They subsequently recorded emphatic 7-0 wins over Guam and the Bahamas before rounding off the group stage with a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over Kazakhstan.
However, their pursuit of a higher overall finish suffered a setback in the knockout phase after they were eliminated by Paraguay in a dramatic encounter.
