Ghanaian midfielder Lawrence Ofori scored a stoppage-time goal to help Casa Pia secure a 2-0 victory over CF Estrela Amadora in the Portuguese Primeira Liga on Saturday.
Ofori sealed the win in the 92nd minute at the Estádio José Gomes, capitalising on a loose ball in midfield before finding the net with goalkeeper Leo Linck out of position.
The goal capped an important away performance for Casa Pia, who had taken the lead through João Rego in the 31st minute.
Rego broke the deadlock after carrying the ball forward from midfield and finishing calmly past Linck to give the visitors an advantage at half-time.
Estrela Amadora pushed for an equaliser after the break but struggled to overcome Casa Pia's defensive resistance. Goalkeeper Patrick Sequeira also made important saves to preserve his side's lead.
Ofori's late strike ensured Casa Pia claimed all three points and strengthened their bid to climb away from the relegation zone.
The Ghanaian midfielder has now registered one goal and one assist in nine league appearances this season, adding another valuable contribution to his campaign in Portugal.
The victory marked an important result for Casa Pia in the ninth round of the Primeira Liga.
