Stonebwoy donates GH¢100,000 to National Amputee Football Team [Video]

Dancehall act Stonebwoy has donated GH¢100,000 to the Ghana National Amputee Football Team, the Black Challenge, in a show of support for the team’s efforts to represent the country.

The donation was made during a visit to the team at Mensah Sarbah Park in Accra, where the musician joined the players for a training session.

The training is in preparation for the 2026 WAFF World Cup, scheduled to take place in Mexico from November 13–22.

Addressing the players, Stonebwoy offered words of encouragement, acknowledging the challenges they face while representing Ghana on the international stage.

“The challenges that you’re facing in your lives, may God remove all those challenges because you are already facing challenges to support and represent us, and we appreciate it,” he said.

He presented the financial support as a personal contribution to the team, wishing the players well and asking for God’s blessings upon them.

The players warmly received the gesture, expressing gratitude for both the donation and the musician’s decision to spend time with them at their training grounds.

One of the team members said Stonebwoy’s presence alone meant a great deal to them, emphasising that the visit was as significant as the financial assistance.

The Black Challenge represents Ghana in amputee football, a sport that provides a competitive platform for players with limb amputations and other eligible limb differences.
