A 93-year-old Coventry City fan, affectionately known as 'Sky Blue Nana', has captured the hearts of football fans after her daughter began sharing videos of her cheering for the club.
Doreen Howell, who has been a supporter for over 70 years and witnessed the team's FA Cup win at Wembley in 1987, is living with dementia in a nursing home but continues to enjoy old matches and sing the Sky Blue Song.
Her daughter, Susan Brennan, started a YouTube channel in May and has since set up a TikTok account, with both platforms drawing warm messages of support from fellow Sky Blues fans.
Susan said: "Despite the challenges dementia brings, Mum still has a wonderful sense of humour, a beautiful smile, and a remarkable ability to make people laugh. One thing that has never changed is her love for Coventry City Football Club."
Susan hopes the videos will raise awareness about dementia and provide comfort to other families, adding: "I know there are many families experiencing the heartbreak of dementia, and I hope our videos bring them a little comfort and remind them that the person they love is still there."
