Barcelona continue to dream about signing Tottenham Hotspur‘s Pedro Porro despite the challenges posed by the Premier League side.
The Spain international impressed for his country at the World Cup, playing a key role as a right-back. He also formed a partnership with Barcelona star Lamine Yamal on the right side as Spain won the tournament.
Barcelona are looking to replicate that partnership at the Camp Nou by taking Porro away from Tottenham.
Three days ago, the World Cup winner revealed he dreams of returning to Spain, after previously playing in La Liga with Girona.
He said: “Obviously, I’d love to return to Spain someday. It’s my country, and I like the league. Right now, it would be very unfair to talk about anything other than my club because I’m under contract, but obviously, I’d love to go back to Spain; it’s a big dream of mine.”
At the weekend, Sport Witness relayed news of Barcelona contacting Pedro Porro’s agent. Besides the La Liga winners, Real Madrid are also showing interest in the fullback.

Barca are keen, and Monday’s Mundo Deportivo states the Tottenham Hotspur man is their ‘dream’ target. Hansi Flick’s side are aware it’s highly unlikely they can sign him in January. The situation could be different for Barcelona next summer, especially if there’s some sales.
However, the Catalan club aren’t closing the door on the winter move. Mundo states that if an opportunity were to arise in January, then Barcelona would pounce on it.
In June, Pedro Porro signed a new contract until 2031, with an option for another year. This season, he played 294 minutes from six appearances for Roberto De Zerbi’s side.
This, as per the newspaper, makes the 27-year-old’s signing ‘prohibitive’ for Barcelona and Real Madrid.
His contract renewal in June puts Tottenham Hotspur in a good position to hold on to him for a long time.
In short, Barcelona and José Mourinho’s side are keen on signing Porro, and both know the starting price.
It’ll be then down to them to convince Spurs to stand a chance of signing him either in January or next summer.
