John Cena has officially kicked off the festivities for The John Cena Classic during his appearance on the November 2 episode of RAW. After announcing Cody Rhodes as the first participant in the event, he will now head to NXT and appear on tonight’s special Wednesday edition of the show.

The “Last Real Champion” hinted at addressing the NXT roster as well on RAW, and he could be scouting the next participant from the brand. With that in mind, here are 8 NXT stars who Cena could be taking a hard look at for the December event.

Izzi Dame

Izzi Dame has been a strong fixture in the NXT women’s division for years. She has made an impact in her tenure and recently picked up a huge win over NXT Women’s North American Champion Zaria at Halloween Havoc. The major victory and her run so far make her a viable candidate for the John Cena Classic.

Charlie Dempsey

Charlie Dempsey has been proudly carrying the lineage of WWE legend William Regal as part of NXT. The Birthright member has been a significant competitor and has achieved accolades in NXT. He could land a spot in The John Cena Classic with his impressive tenure and rich legacy in the wrestling business.

Kendal Grey

Kendal Grey has been one of the fastest-rising stars in the NXT women’s division. Within a year of her debut, she has delivered memorable in-ring matches and even held the NXT Women’s Championship. So, John Cena could add her to The John Cena Classic to help her build further on her ongoing momentum.

Myles Borne

Myles Borne has been credited as a top star in the making for his run in NXT. He is a former NXT North American Champion who faced former friend Tavion Heights in a weapons match at Halloween Havoc. With his impressive record, Borne deserves to compete in The John Cena Classic.

Zaria

Zaria has been one of NXT’s most feared and dominant in-ring competitors. She drew attention for her former tag partner and then fierce rivalry with Sol Ruca, and she is the reigning NXT Women’s North American Champion. Therefore, John Cena could add this force of nature to the Cena Classic, which could make it difficult for others to succeed.

Zilla Fatu

Zilla Fatu debuted in WWE a few months ago and has already taken the roster by storm and become a part of major storylines. With his incredible in-ring style, captivating personality, and being the son of a WWE legend and one of John Cena’s rivals, Umaga. Zilla could take his fame to the next level by participating in The John Cena Classic.

Kelani Jordan

Ever since Kelani Jordan turned heel in NXT, she has achieved remarkable success in terms of TV time, accolades, and competing in major matches. The reigning NXT Women’s Champion has had a spectacular reign so far, and her entire tenure makes her worthy of a spot in The John Cena Classic.

Grayson Waller

Grayson Waller reinvented himself into a top name after returning to NXT a few months ago. His diss-filled pipebomb promo got him major attention and led him to challenge for and win the NXT Championship. With Waller being the top guy of NXT, it could very well land a spot in The John Cena Classic, with Cena announcing him as the first NXT participant.
